Scinnov supports project leaders in the development of sustainability plans and in the implementation ofappropriate tools (business models, roadmaps, strategic partnerships, infrastructures, creation of legal entities), in order to guarantee a lasting and structuring impact of the European project.

Our method of working

Stage 1

Monitor the results of the project during its implementation

Result: mapping of the main results achieved and assessment of their potential use.

Stage 2

Define a strategy for exploiting the results

Result: plan for exploiting the project’s results to maximise their impact (business model, exploitation licences, transfer, financing plan).

Stage 3

Ensuring the sustainability of the tools developed for the project (e.g. databases, software, algorithms, consortium, platforms)

Result: the creation of legal instruments or transfer of tools to maintain them after the funding ends.

Stage 4

Monitoring operational and sustainability measures

Result: monitoring of measures and actions implemented before the end of the project, for a period of two years after the end of the project.

What obligations do I have to exploit the results of my projects? Beneficiaries of European funding are required to implement concrete actions to exploit the results obtained. This means :
  • Promote the innovations, technologies and knowledge generated,
  • Ensuring the dissemination and application of results in industrial, scientific or societal contexts,
  • Draw up operating and sustainability plans right from the project set-up phase,
  • Comply with the programme’s medium- and long-term impact monitoring requirements.
What tools have the European institutions made available to make it easier to use the results? The European Commission offers a number of tools and resources to help project leaders maximise the impact of their results:
  • The platform Horizon Results Boosterwhich offers personalised coaching services,
  • Guides and training dedicated to intellectual property management, marketing and development,
  • European networks of experts and incubators,
  • Platforms for sharing results, such as CORDIS.
Can you give us an example of an operating measure that you have put in place for a European consortium? Our team defined a detailed plan for exploiting the results, including a sustainability plan for the tools developed during the project: a bank of human tissue samples, a bank of predictive models and algorithms, and challenge agents. This plan includes governance mechanisms to ensure access to the results and an economic model for maintaining the infrastructure.
